Entwined Couples was created as a way to take the stress off your plate of planning and researching date nights and weekend trips with your boo. Far too often, busy schedules take over and finding time and new activities to spend together becomes limited.

I know this first hand. When my husband and I were in a stress packed year planning our wedding and working opposite schedule jobs, we found that the only time we saw each other was during social gatherings with friends. Our time together wasn’t really OUR time together and we began to notice.

It was almost a year of stretching ourselves and our relationship thin that we realized we needed more us time. After enough time had passed, we took to spontaneously packing the car and heading to our favorite cabin in the woods for a few days, where we were able to reconnect and feel like ourselves again.

That weekend alone together in the woods is exactly what we needed to reconnect and rejuvenate when it came to our relationship, and that’s why I find it so beneficial to focus on weekend getaways with your person. It’s literally time to GET AWAY.

During that trip, we came up with “Surprise Date Night" as another personal solution. A monthly date night where we switch off planning and surprising the other with something to do, giving us the ability to connect without distractions.

It was during the months where I was in charge of the surprise that I started to notice how excited I would get with the planning process and researching something new and exciting for us to experience together. I realized that I wanted to do this for other couples as well; compile date night and weekend stay ideas that they can spoil their honey with, without the work of researching to find something new to do when schedules are already packed enough.
